ஒருவரின் மனம், நொடிக்கு நொடி மாறும் என்பதை அனுபவப்பூர்வமாக உணரக்கூடியதுதான். “மனம்” என்பதன் கருத்தாக்கம் பிடிபடாததாக இருக்கிறது, பல்வேறு மொழிகள் இதனை பலவிதங்களில் கருத்தாக்கம் செய்கின்றன. பௌத்த முறையில், சமஸ்கிருத மொழியில் மனம் என்பற்கு சிட்டா என்று பொருள், இதற்கு பரந்துபட்ட அர்த்தம் இருக்கிறது. புலனுணர்வு, உணர்வுகள், சொல்லார்ந்த மற்றும் புலனாகாத சிந்தனை, உணர்வுகள், இன்ப துன்ப உணர்வுகள், கவனம், செறிவு, நுண்ணறிவு இன்னும் பலவற்றை இவை உள்ளடக்கியுள்ளது. பெளத்தம் கூறும் மனம் என்பது, எல்லாவிதமான மனநிலைகளையும் குறிப்பிட்டுச் சொல்கிறது. மூளை, நரம்பு மண்டலங்கள், ஹார்மோன்கள் உள்ளிட்ட புலன்களை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டு கவனம் செலுத்தப்படுவது இல்லை – அதே போன்று வேதியியல் அல்லது மின்னனுவியல் செயல்பாடுகளும் இதில் அடங்காது. பௌத்தம் இவற்றில் எதையும் மறுக்கவில்லை, ஏனெனில் உண்மையில் அவை இருக்கின்றன, அவை ஒருங்கிணைந்தவையும் கூட. மூளையை ஆக்கிரமித்து அதன் செயல்பாட்டை உருவாக்கும் சில முக்கியமற்ற விஷயங்களை மனம் குறிக்கவில்லை. ஒருங்கிணைந்த தன்னுணர்வற்ற நிலையை பௌத்தம் உறுதிப்படுத்துவதில்லை. மன செயல்பாடு என்றால் என்ன? ஒருவரின் மனம் மற்றும் மனதின் செயல்பாடு ஏதோ ஒன்றை உணரக்கூடியவை, உதாரணத்திற்கு கோபத்திற்கான உண்மையான காரணம் என்ன? என்று அறியும் தன்மை கொண்டவை. அடிக்கடி வரும் கோபத்தை நாம் உணர்வோம். கோபத்தையும், அதன் உணர்தலையும் ஒரே நேரத்தில் அறியும் அனுபவத்தை யாராவது உணர்ந்துள்ளீர்களா? ஒருவேளை நான் கோபப்பட்டால், அது எனது அனுபவம், பிறருடையது அல்ல. ஆனால், என்னை, மனம் என்ற இயந்திரத்திலிருந்து பிரிக்க அவசரகால பொத்தான் எதுவும் இல்லை – நாம் சாதாரணமாக நடப்பவற்றை அனுபவிக்க வேண்டியதுதான். விஞ்ஞான புரிதலின்படி, ஒளிக்கதிர்கள் கருவிழிகள் மூலமாக கண்களுக்குள் நுழைந்து விழித்திரையின் படப்பதிவு செல்களை அடைகின்றன. அப்போது தூண்டப்படும் உந்துவிசையானது மூளைக்கு ஒளியியல் தகவலைத் தருகிறது, அங்கு அது உருப்பெருகிறது. ஒரு பொருள் பற்றிய இந்த அனுபவமே ”இது ஆப்பிள்” என்ற முப்பரிமாண படிவத்தை உருவாக்கி அதற்கு அர்த்தத்தைத் தருகிறது. மனம் வெற்று இடமல்ல, மூளையின் ஏதோ ஒரு இடத்தில் ஆப்பிளின் முப்பரிமாணப் படிவம் பதிவாகியிருக்கும், அதுவே ”மனதில் எதோ இருக்கிறது” என்பதை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது. மனதின் முப்பரிமாணப் படிவங்களால் தொடு உணர்வுகள், வாசனை, ஓசை, சுவைகளையும் உருவமைப்பு செய்ய முடியும், ஏன் நம் கற்பனை மற்றும் கனவிலும் கூட இதனைச் செய்யலாம். மூளையின் பிற பாகங்களில் இருந்து உருவாகும் ஹார்மோன்களின் அடிப்படையில் மனதின் முப்பரிமாண படிவத்தின் படங்களால் உணர்வுகள் மற்றும் மகிழ்ச்சி அல்லது துக்கத்தின் அளவுகளையும் கூட விவரிக்க முடியும். நரம்பியல் அறிவியல் மற்றும் பெளத்தம் 1987 ஆம் ஆண்டு தலாய்லாமா அவர்களால் மைண்ட் அண்ட் லைப் நிறுவனம் தொடங்கப்பட்டது, பின்னர் பிரபல சிலேன் நரம்பியல் நிபுணரான பிரான்சிஸ்கோ வரேலா தலைமையிலான சர்வதேச நரம்பியல் அறிஞர்களுக்கான வழிமுறைகள் கட்டமைக்கப்பட்டன. அந்த அமைப்புகளுடன் பெளத்த ஆசிரியர்கள் இணைந்து ஆய்வு செய்ததில், மனதுக்கும், மூளைக்குமான உள்ளிணைப்பை கண்டறிந்தனர். தியானம் கற்பதில் தொடக்க நிலையில் இருப்பவர் மற்றும் அனுபவம் வாய்ந்தவர் என இருவரின் மூளை செயல்பாட்டை நரம்பியல் அறிஞர்கள் கண்காணித்தனர். அதில், தொடர் தியானத்தால் மூளையின் செயல்பாடு மேம்பட்டுள்ளதை என்பதைக் கண்டறிந்துள்ளனர். இரக்கம் போன்ற நேர்மறை உணர்வுகள், மன ஒருமுனைப்பை ஏற்படுத்தவும் தியானம் உதவுகிறது என்பது கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளது. மனச்செயல்களினால் உணரப்படும் வாழ்வில் அனுபவங்களையே “மனது” என்கிறது பெளத்தம். ஒவ்வொரு தருணத்திலும், பல்வேறு விளைவுகளால், மனச்செயல்கள் மாற்றங்களை சந்திக்கும். நாம் வாழ்கையின் வீச்சால் வீழ்த்தப்பட்டவர்களாக இருத்தல் கூடாது, ஆனால், வாழ்வில் எதை எதிர்கொண்டாலும் ஒருங்கிணைந்த அனுபவத்தில் முன்னெடுக்க வேண்டும் என்று பெளத்தம் போதிக்கிறது. மனதை நாம் பயிற்சிப்பதன் மூலம், நல்ல மாற்றங்களை நமக்குள் உணரலாம், தொடர் முயற்சியால், நேர்மறையான முன்னெடுப்பு எல்லாவற்றையும் எளிமையாக்கிவிடும்.

No matter how big a person is , it is imperative that one day he or she has to meet the very end of life which is real and forth coming.

Being present is about engaging with what is happening in the present moment, both internally and externally. Here are a few key aspects of being present: Mindfulness: Being present is often associated with the practice of mindfulness, which involves intentionally paying attention to the present moment with an attitude of non-judgmental awareness. It means observing thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, and the surrounding environment without getting carried away by them. Awareness of the Senses: Being present involves using the senses to anchor oneself in the present. It means fully experiencing what you see, hear, smell, taste, and touch in the current moment. This sensory awareness helps to cultivate a deeper connection with the immediate environment. Non-Attachment: Being present requires letting go of attachments to the past or expectations about the future. It involves accepting the present moment as it is, without resistance or judgment. By releasing attachment, one can experience greater peace, clarity, and openness to the unfolding of each moment. Active Engagement: Being present is not merely a passive state. It involves actively engaging in whatever you are doing, whether it's a task, a conversation, or simply being alone. It means giving your full attention and energy to the present activity, fully immersing yourself in the experience. Practicing being present can have numerous benefits, including reduced stress, enhanced focus, improved relationships, and a greater sense of well-being. Mindfulness meditation, deep breathing exercises, and conscious awareness of your thoughts and sensations are some techniques that can help cultivate the ability to be present. Positive Outlook: "Glorious present" could refer to a mindset or attitude of appreciating and embracing the current moment with a sense of wonder and gratitude. It implies finding joy and fulfillment in the present rather than dwelling on the past or constantly seeking the future. Gift or Surprise: It could also be used metaphorically to describe a special and delightful gift or surprise that someone receives in the present moment. This could be a material object, an opportunity, an experience, or even an unexpected act of kindness. Personal Achievement: In some cases, "glorious present" might refer to an individual's current state of success, accomplishment, or fulfillment in their personal or professional life. It could imply a sense of being content and satisfied with one's current circumstances.
